BTR has brought out the BEST AMERICAN MADE valve guides on the market for your Gen III & IV or Gen V LT cylinder heads! BTR's powdered metal guides are a great upgrade or simply a service part for your worn stock guides. You will not find an aftermarket valve guide with a superior machining and metallurgy! Final honing per application required.
Recommended valve stem to guide clearance of 0.0015" (For 8mm bronze guides clearance is typically 0.0008"). The O.D. is .500" which is correct for OEM GM Gen III-V cylinder heads.
I.D. : 0.3145"
Length: 2.110"
O.D.: 0.500"
This is the correct length for Gen III-IV heads except for LS7, use part number BTR-311-2244 for Gen V and LS7.
WILL NOT WORK WITH TYPICAL AFTERMARKET HEADS WHICH REQUIRE AN O.D. OF 0.5015" Check with your cylinder head manufacturer for details.
